Vines were first introduced to the Gers region in the Gallo-Roman era. They were cultivated widely throughout the Middle Ages, with production peaking in the 13th and 14th centuries. The region enjoyed strong trade links with England and the Scandinavian countries. The Gers region, in south-western France, is now France's leading producer of local wines. The famous "Vins de Pays de Gers" are renowned for their fruity and/or floral notes, and are the perfect accompaniment to our foie gras and speciality dishes. The landscape of the Gers region is known for its rolling hills and valleys. That's why we've selected local wines, aperitifs and Armagnac to accompany our foie gras, tapas dishes, confits and ready made dishes. The region is famous for its Côtes de Saint-Mont, Côtes de Gascogne, Madiran and Pacherenc wines. It also produces fine aperitifs, such as Floc de Gascogne, Cassagnac and Pousse Rapière. And no meal would be complete without an Armagnac to round off the occasion. Alcohol abuse is harmful to your health. Drink responsibly. Alcohol is an age-restricted product.
