When you think of quality local products, it's impossible not to think of ESPRIT FOIE GRAS, a family business run by the Boutines family.
For three generations, our family has been perpetuating the tradition of mulard duck in the Gers, a department renowned for its gourmet products. We transform duck into a wide range of specialties: foies gras, confits, ready-made meals and fresh produce, all of impeccable quality.
The story begins with Régine Soula, the grandmother with a passion for cooking and good produce. After a successful first career as a cook in the famous Gers restaurant "Chez Maigné", she turned to raising geese and ducks, which she raises in the open air, fed on grain and fattened on corn (GMO-free, of course).
His daughter Ghislaine and her husband René Boutines then took over the family business. They expanded production by building their own canning facility, certified to CE standards.
Their son Damien joined the company in 2012, and with him the ESPRIT FOIE GRAS brand was born. An online boutique is also created, enabling as many people as possible to discover their products.
Today, ESPRIT FOIE GRAS continues to process ducks, respecting the traditions and know-how handed down from generation to generation. In a world dominated by the globalization and standardization of agri-food products, it's a real pleasure to savor these local delicacies "made in Gers"!
In 2018, their daughter Olivia will join Esprit Foie Gras, followed by cousin Gaëtan in 2021!
The quality of the Boutines family's products has not escaped the attention of the juries: several awards testify to their excellence:
