Our medal-winning duck products from the Concours Général Agricole 2025? Our whole Gers duck foie gras and our whole dried duck breast. These medals are a fine recognition of our daily work. Most recently, in 2023, we won a Silver Medal for our whole duck foie gras. A Silver Medal for our whole semi-cooked foie gras and a Bronze Medal for our pure duck rillettes in 2024. In 2025, two bronze medals for our whole Gers duck foie gras and whole dried duck breast. Year after year, we strive for quality and excellence.
These medals are awarded by a jury made up of industry professionals, producers, representatives of the catering trade, traders, distributors and informed consumers.
Each product presented is evaluated on its sensory characteristics and taste qualities. Taste, texture, presentation and aroma are all examined by the jury.
If the Concours Général Agricole is so prestigious, it's because it's been around for over 150 years! What's more, the selection process for award-winning products is extremely rigorous. Once we have entered our products in the competition, an agent from the Chamber of Agriculture comes to take random samples. Each sample is then anonymized and sent to Paris for blind tasting at the final. Organized under the supervision of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, the Concours des Produits is renowned for its impartiality.
In 2025, out of more than 7105 products entered, only 1848 won medals. Competition is fierce, as each producer presents only his or her best products. The Concours Général Agricole medals truly reward the top products in each category.
For Esprit Foie Gras, these two new 2025 bronze medals are a powerful symbol. It's a real recognition of the quality of our whole Gers duck foie gras and our dried duck breast.
